Lt. Col. Anthony M. Agnello USAF (retired) of Fairfield died Dec. 26, 2004, at David Grant Medical Center after a long battle with cancer. He was 70.
Lt. Col. Agnello served 20 years in the U.S. Air Force, was a Vietnam veteran and received the Purple Heart decoration. He retired at Travis Air Force Base from the 86th MAS in 1979. He held a bachelor¹s degree in industrial engineering from the University of North Dakota, and a doctorate in business administration and management from Golden Gate University. He went on to teach at both Solano and Napa community colleges until the mid-1990s. He was a member of both the Elks and SIRs organizations.
He is survived by his wife, three children, five grandchildren, a sister and two brothers.
Memorial service with military honors will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2005, at the Tulocay Cemetery chapel in Napa.
Burial will follow the service at Tulocay Cemetery.
