John married Dicey A. Jones (7/13/1851-1891) of Tennessee about 1871 in Henderson County, TN. She was the daughter of Christopher Perry Jones (1825-1915) of South Carolina and Milberry Beatrice Patterson Jones (1828-1920) of Tennessee, who married in 1850.
Sometime after 1880, John & Dicey moved to Erath County, Texas. They are buried in Clairette Cemetery in unmarked graves, per descendant James Edward Daniel.
