Earlin Estel Jackson was born in Mountain View, Oklahoma to Clyde Sylvester and Faye (Clark) Jackson on January 31, 1926. His mother's family moved to the area in 1922 and his father moved there in 1919. He graduated from Mountain View High School and was the President of his Senior Class receiving All-State honors for his performance as a high school basketball player.

After spending two semesters at the University of Oklahoma he was drafted into the U.S. Navy and he spent two years serving his country during World War II. Earlin was stationed in San Diego and served on the USS PCS 1444, a submarine chaser, as a signalman. His ship was attached to the Sonar School in San Diego and they trained 25 students every week. He was released from the Navy on may 17, 1946.

Earlin married Joyce Lavell Eskew on Saturday, July 24, 1948 at his parent's home in Mountain View, Oklahoma. Earlin and Joyce had three children, Brenda Kathleen (Jackson) Moffatt, Richard Earlin Jackson and Beverly Joyce (Jackson) Foster.

He received his degree from the University of Oklahoma in Business Administration on June 5, 1950 and was always proud to be a graduate of the University that he loved so much!

"E.E." was a natural salesman and loved to talk to anyone he meant! He began his career in sales with the Oklahoma Hardware Company in Oklahoma City. Eventually he worked for Oklahoma Tire and Supply Company as a salesman and assistant manager. After working for OTASCO he began a career for T.G.&Y and ended it when he retired as a sporting goods salesman for Maurice Sporting Goods.

Earlin has always loved fishing and any kind of water sport. He spent many enjoyable times with his wife doing just that after he retired. They enjoyed a cabin on the lake and spent many hours catching fish at Ft. Cobb Lake near his home town of Mountain View.

He died peacefully in his sleep at the Veterans Administration Center in Norman, Oklahoma on January 14, 2006 at 5:45 in the morning. He had been a resident of this facility since October 13, 2004. His funeral service was held in the Chapel at Baggerley Funeral Home in Oklahoma City. He was laid to rest at Resthaven Gardens Cemetery, Garden of Serenity, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
