Edward is the youngest son of Isaac & Mary (Proude) Pennington.
Dates for him are 07mon/Sept 3/1667 - 11mon/Jan 11/1701.

He married Sarah Jennings , daughter of Samuel & Ann (Ollive) Jenings, on 11mo/Jan 16, 1699/1700 in Lancaster, PA.
Among the witnesses at their marriage were William Penn and Latitia Penn; the record is extant. [Wm Penn Sr. returned from England in Dec 1699; however this witness could have been his son Wm Penn, Jr]
Together they had one son, Isaac, a namesake of Edward's father. After Edward's passing, she married Thomas Stevenson.

Year of passing was previously 1701, per initial record from which this memorial was derived.
Claudia shared the following:

same mtg -
Edward Penington was appointed with others to obtain a copy of the Will of George Fox wherein he left 16 acres to the meeting and an additional 6 for a pasture for the horses of Friends' when they come to meeting.

7mo/Sep 26, 1701 - Edward Penington and Caspar Hoodt desired to draw Certificates for Christopher Sibthorp, George Guest, etc.

This would indicate that Edward Penington was still living as of 7mo/Sep 26, 1701, therefore he could not have died 11mo/Jan 11, 1701, but rather 11mo/Jan 11, 1702.

***This Penington line of Buckinghamshire - connected to the Springett family and William Penn - spelled their name with one "n" in the first syllable.
