Mr. Seely was the brother of two Utah County residents.
He was born Sept. 7, 1896 in Castle Dale, Emery County, a son of Justus W. and Clara Sorensen Seely. On June 26, 1918 he married Rhoda Nelson in Cardston, Alta, Canada, and she died April 28, 1967.
He was a farmer and had worked at Hill Air Force Base and Ogden Defense Depot. He was a member of the LDS Church.
Survivors include one son and four daughters, Calvin Earl Seely, Cyprus, Calif.; Mrs. Winona Thorderson, Kaysville; Mrs. Rita Allred, Ogden; Mrs. Carl (Nadine) Anderson, Roy, and Mrs. Joe (Earlen) Agrifollo, Middletown, N.J.; 21 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; one brother and two sisters, Dorman Seely, Payson; Mrs. Thora Killian, Orem, and Mrs. Ora Mayer, East Carbon City, Carbon County.
Burial will be in Washington Heights Memorial Park.
