In November 29, 1947, he was married to Loraine Woller. They had two children, Michael, at the U of I, and Betty at home.
A graduate of Gibson City High School, Mr. Kerchenfaut attended Brown Business College In Kankakee, served in the Marines during World War II and for the past twenty years worked as an estimator at the Link Belt Co., in Chicago.
Surviving other than his widow and children are one brother, Lee Kerchenfaut of Bloomington; four sisters, Mrs. Wanda Brown and Mrs. Walter Stoutamoyer of Bloomington, Mrs. Rudy Smith of Gibson City and Mrs. Mark Fredericks of La Crescenta, California.
