The expected death of Mrs. Lucy Brown Carli, wife of Christopher H. Carli, occurred Sunday morning at the home of her parents in Afton. Deceased, who had been in poor health for a considerable length of time, had until some six or eight weeks ago resided with her husband at Groton, where Mr. Carli is in business. The serious growth of the disease made it necessary that she should be sent to the home of her parents, where it was hoped she would be nursed back to health. During her final illness her husband visited her bedside as often as business duties permitted, having made his last visit the week before her death. He arrived Monday night in answer of the telegram which he received Sunday. The remains were brought to this city over the Milwaukee road and consigned to a tomb in Fairview cemetery Tuesday afternoon, Rev. Mr. Dunn conducting the final rites. Deceased was born in Red Wing, this state, in 1851 and came to Stillwater in 1865 residing with her uncle and aunt; Dr. and Mrs. C. Carli in the spring of 1884 took up her residence with her husband in Groton, Dakota. Deceased leaves behind a husband. Two children parents, sisters and brothers.
