Tribune Star, May 2, 1986: ALMA RUTH LASWELL BARBEE " Alma Ruth Laswell Barbee. 85, died at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in Union Hospital. She was a homemaker. She was born July 28, 1900, in Indiana to David Laswell and Eva Clingman Laswell. Her husband, Alonzo, died in 1955. Survivors include one son, Harold Barbee of Apache Junction, Ariz., 12 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Memorial services are scheduled for 7 pm. Monday in Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness at 2400 S. 25 St., with Brother Leroy Taylor officiating. Cremation is scheduled. Burial is in Grandview Cemetery. There is no visitation. Mattox Wood Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements."
