MACON, GA - Mr. James Ronald Hester, 58, of Roberta, died early Saturday morning in a local hospital. Graveside services will be held at 11A.M., on Tuesday, July 11 in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Vera Daniels will officiate. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. The funeral procession will leave from Snow's Memorial Chapel on Pio Nono Avenue at 10:30A.M., Tuesday morning. -Mr. Hester, son of the late Charles and Dorothy Jordan Hester, had lived in the Middle Georgia area most of his life and graduated from Dudley Hughes High School. He was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Navy on two active tours of duty in the Vietnam War. Mr. Hester worked as a plumber for Sidney Pyles for a number of years and was also a member of the VFW Post 658 and Ladies Auxiliary, on Harrison Road. -Survivors include his wife, Cheryl E. Hester; three children, Kristal Wilder, Robby Stephens, and Dusty Stephens, all of Roberta; sisters, Myrtle (Wayne) Brown, Christine (Carlus) Riner, Daisey (Edison) Wynn; brother, Charles (Iris) Hester; six grandchildren; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. -Visit www.mem.com to express tributes. -Snow's Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue has charge of arrangements.
