Carolyn Joleen Parkin Spriggs, 62, passed away on July 1, 2015 in Sandy after a battle with MSA.

She was born October 23, 1952 to Norman Hammer and Dawna Parkin.

On July 3, 1972, Carolyn married the love of her life, Micky Spriggs. The moment they met, they knew they were meant to be together for the rest of their lives. In addition to being a wife, her greatest achievement was her family; her pride and joy were her grandchildren. Carolyn believed that love could truly conquer all.

In addition to raising their four children, her life was dedicated to volunteering. She was Director of the People with AIDS Coalition of Utah for many years, touching many lives and making lifelong friends. You simply asked and she would make room for you in her heart, and treat you like her own.

Carolyn was a member of the LDS faith and lived her life devoutly. Never afraid to share her opinions; she stood up for what she believed in. She allowed others to live and believe what they felt was true in their hearts, expressing that following your heart is where you find your path to true happiness.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her angel, Tyler Matthew Hammer-Spriggs, and is survived by her husband, Micky; daughter, Stephanie; and two sons, Eric (Tawny) and Alan (Kelly). Carolyn also had the pleasure of having seven grandchildren and a number of other relatives and close friends.

Special thanks to her One Care Hospice team.
