Funeral services for Ancil Thomas Curtis, 70, of French Camp were held Saturday at 3 p.m. at the French Camp Baptist Church. Curtis, native of Choctaw County, was retired from the maintenance division of the state's highway department. He was a deacon in the French Camp Baptist Church. He died Thursday at his residence following an illness.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Gladys Mitchell Curtis, of French Camp; three daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Curtis King of Memphis, Miss Annie Lou Curtis of Jackson and Mrs. Alma Curtis Osborn of Picayune. Ha also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Louise Pearson of Frame, Tn., and Mrs. Pauline Madia of Ashland; a brother, the Rev. George W. Curtis, of Glendora; and five grandchildren.

Officiating ministers were the Rev. Paul Hill, the Rev. Sam Patterson and the Rev. E. B. Shivers.

Serving as pallbearers were Tommy Maclin, David Curtis, Claude Taylor, Jeff Ward, Billy Ward and Hugh Dendy.

Jordon Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in French Camp Cemetery.
