Ruth Ella McCormick Matthews, 96, of Tampa, died April 12, 2012. Ruth lived in Tampa, since 1949 with husband, Robert J. Her parents, Vera and Daniel McCormick, as well as sisters, Grace and Phyllis, preceded her in death. Ruth is survived by her cousin, Dorothy Wimmer, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Ruth was a friend to hundreds of science students at Hillsborough High School. The family would like to thank the staff at John Knox Village and the Gold team of LifePath Hospice.
