The funeral of Jesse A G Andre was held Wednesday at the R D Newell and Son funeral home. The service was attended by delegations from many community organizations. A delegation from City Hall was headed by Mayor Durbin Wells. Also attending were county officials, representatives from all city departments of Northampton, Hampshire County Bar Association, Williamsburg Rotary Club, Lake Damon Association, Northampton Lodge of Elks and American Legion. Rev John K Montgomery, pastor of the First Methodist Church, officiated, assisted by Rev Ambler Garnett, a former pastor. Burial was in Bridge St Cemetery. Bearers were Edward G Hafey, Ernest Denny, Kenneth Bowen, Pierre Drewsen, Earl Wright and Allan Peck.
