Received Sad News
Mrs. B.B. Caldwell on Monday received the sad news of the death of two sisters of Mr. Caldwell near Sterling, Kansas, Sunday evening. It seems that the two sisters and their husbands were out riding in an automobile when the machine was struck by a train at the railway crossing, the two woman being killed instantly. One of the men was seriously injured, while the other, who was driving, was uninjured. These are the first deaths in the family of six children, the eldest and youngest sisters of Mr. Caldwell being the victims. Mr. Caldwell has been working on the coast for the past several months and word of the tragedy was at once forwarded to him.
