Sheldon was fond of all animals but especially horses. He was involved with a horse rescue sanctuary for many years. His other interests included movies, music and caring for his many pets, especially his favorite cat, Yoda.
Sheldon was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, David, and his nephew, Jonathon. He was survived by his sisters, his brothers and numerous nieces and nephews. He was never married and never had children.
