Nell B. Atchley, age 95, of Maryville, passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at Fairpark Health Care Center. She was born July 19, 1914 and was one of 13 children of William David and Effie Brown. She was retired from U.T. Food Service in 1985. Preceded in death by her parents and 9 siblings; daughter, Thelma Gardner; son, James Earl Gardner; great great grandson, Dakota Hearon; and son in law, Lonnie Anderson. Survivors include her daughter, Mary Ruth G. Anderson; sister, Helen Cannon; brother, Beecher Brown; grandchildren, Lynn Anderson and wife, Carole, Anita Hearon and husband, Max, Alan Anderson and wife, Brenda, Gary Gardner, Jason Gardner, and Neil Gardner; great grandchildren, Jessica Frank and husband, Billy, Justin Hearon and wife, Chandra, Erica Gabbidon and husband, Tavis, Amanda Hearon and Ryan Anderson; great great grandchildren, Hannah and Braden Hearon, Nevaeh and Kiana Gabbidon and many nieces, nephews and special friends. Friends may call at their convenience Friday from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Miller Funeral Home, and private graveside service will be held with special friend Rev. Rick Higginbotham officiating.
