Born in Milford Township Bucks County, he was the son of Henry & Sarah (Kulp) Wieand and the husband of Rosa R. (Krause) Wieand. They were married 54 years. He began working at cigar factories in Trumbauersville, then did auto body work for several different companies. He not only did metal work, but also woodwork on cars that at that time had wood components. He later worked at Bethlehem Steel Corp., Mack Trucks and the former Johnson & Biehn Motor Co. He also worked at Levy Bus Co., Trumbauersville, and at Paul Wieand's Auto Body Shop, Souderton, which was owned by a son. Wieand retired in 1952. He was 105 years old when he died. He died in LifeQuest Nursing Center in Quakertown.
