Naomi Funderburg, 86, died Tuesday, June 30, 2015. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, July 2, 2015 in the Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Breckenridge Cemetery under the direction of Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home.

Naomi was born on September 18, 1928 in Tyler to Euell Ables and Euta Spier Ables. She married Eugene Elbert Funderburg on March 17, 1948 in Tyler and he preceded her in death on September 12, 2007. She was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church and was a member of the Stephens Memorial Hospital Auxiliary Pink Ladies.

Survivors include a son, Dennis Funderburg and wife, Brenda of Breckenridge; sister, Bennie Lavoie and husband, Dan of Breckenridge; grandchildren, Brandi Baugh and husband, Turner of Breckneridge, Kandis Cozart and husband, Chris of Wichita Falls, Dennis Funderburg Jr. and wife, Miranda of Granbury, and J.R. Hooper and wife, Tara of Frankston; great-grandchildren, Tucker Baugh, Cullen Cozart, Bayler Baugh, Landen Funderburg, and Kade Hooper. She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Ruby Nell Ables of Whitehouse. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Steve Funderburg, brother, Sonny Ables, and sister, Clara McDonald.
