Joy O. Falls, 70, of Marsh Creek, passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2015 at Centre Crest Nursing Home in Bellefonte. Born on July 7, 1944, in Lock Haven, she was the daughter of the late Roy Young and Celia Heverly. She was married to Kirby Falls, who survives at home, on June 25, 1999.

Joy was a 1962 graduate of Bald Eagle Area High School. She worked for many years at the Woolrich Woolen Mills in Blanchard before its closing. She then went to work at Walmart as a Cashier. She was of the protestant faith.

Joy is survived by her husband, her children; Thomas Bechdel, Jr of Beech Creek, Richard Bechdel (Sandy) of Monument, and Tamara Bechdel-Ream and (Robert), of Beech Creek, stepchildren; Cheralee (Keith) Stover, of Slippery Rock and Jamie (Joseph Jr.) West , of Williamstow, four sisters; Linda (Dennis) Confer, Gail (Jerry) Bechdel, Darlene (Chris) Butler and Rose (John) Dunkel, one brother; Gary (Bonnie) Pletcher . Also surviving are eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren.

Along with her parents, Joy was preceded in death by one brother and three grandchildren and step-father; Walter Pletcher.

Memorial service will be on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at 2pm at the Faith Chapel on Hunter Run Rd, Howard, with Rev. Alan Eckenroad officiating. Burial will be at Schenck's Cemetery, Howard Twp.
