Blanche L. Rippeon, 77, of Dickerson, MD died on June 28, 2015.
Born on September 29, 1937 in Poolesville, MD, she was the daughter of the late John Ethan and Sarah Anna (Beall) Poole.
For forty two years Blanche work at Poolesville Elementary School cafeteria and was a Sunday school teacher for fifty-two years, involved with the Crafty Ladies and Gents, volunteered her time at the Friendly Thrift Store in Poolesville, member of the Izaak Walton League and life-long member of Memorial United Methodist Church in Poolesville.
Surviving are her two daughters, Brenda Kelbaugh and husband Cliff of Poolesville, Kathryn Schwartzbeck and husband Eddie of Woodbine, MD; one sister, Anne Harvey of Taneytown, MD; five grandsons, Justin and wife Lindsey, Joshua, Jacob and wife Hannah, Jonathan, Jordan Schwartzbeck and one great granddaughter, Ellie Grace.
Blanche was preceded in death by her former husband, James F. Rippeon and one brother, Raymond Poole.
The family will be receiving friends on Thursday July 2 from 1-3 and 6-8 PM at the Hilton Funeral Home, 22111 Beallsville Rd. (Rt. 109), Barnesville, MD.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Friday June 3 at the Memorial United Methodist Church, 17821 Elgin Rd., P.O. Box 358, Poolesville, MD 20837.
Interment will follow in Monocacy Cemetery, Beallsville, MD.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Memorial United Methodist Church.
