She died Friday in a Gridley hospital following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Howell was born April 11, 1905 in Oklahoma. She lived in Gridley since 1940. She was a cannery worker for the Libby Canning Co. for 15 years.
Survivors include two sons, Robert and Melvin Wiles both of Gridley; two daughters, Sylvia Kellett and Bonnie Scribner, both of Gridley; two brothers, Barney and L.J. Green both of Texas; three sisters, Nannie Johnson and Clothilde McChristian, both of Texas, and Ottie Hume of Oklahoma: and12 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
