PINA SLONE PETERS
Pina Peters, age 99, of Urbana, OH, passed away on July 4, 2016, surrounded by her family in her home.
She was born on March 11, 1917 in Lawrence Co., KY to L. B. and Minnie (Miller) Brown.
She was married to Roy Slone (deceased) and Arthur Peters (deceased). Out of this union came six children and four step children, Clyde (Anita) Slone, Vernon (Joyce) Slone, Eddie Slone (deceased), Jim Peters (deceased), Dan Peters (deceased), Anna Belle Webb and Dave Peters.
Other survivors include sixteen grandchildren, eleven step-grandchildren and many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
She was proud of her five generations and is also survived by two special sons-in-law, Terry Randall and Mark Elliott.
Pina was employed in the laundry at Urbana Care Center for six years and housekeeping at Mercy Memorial Hospital for three years.
For the most of her life she was a homemaker and for fourteen years she went to Florida for the winter months. She loved making quilts, gardening, cooking and fishing at Lake Erie.
Most of all she loved going to church and being with family. She was a member of Dove Pentecostal Assembly in Springfield, OH.
Pina outlived six brothers, Marshall, Everett, Burns, Charles, Scott and Ellie Brown and three sisters, Gussie Burnett, Mary Wriston and Esta George.
Burial in Fairview Cemetery.
