Hi, Mary Jane McGovney is my 4th great aunt. McGovney was her maiden name, not McGovern. Her father was James McGovney who came from Lisburn, Ireland in 1772 when he was 18. He married Nancy Crockett in Pennsylvania in 1778. Eventually the McGovneys settled in Adams County Ohio. James died in 1826 - FAG #85132935. I knew that Mary Jane married Thomas Foster and moved to Kanawha but I don't know when she died or where she is buried. Her nickname was Jenny. Thank you, Gail Contributor: Gail Fishman (47513660) •
