Over the years she worked at Prestolite Corp., Babcock's Dairy, and Newberry's Dime Store. She was a member of the Loyal Star of America. (auxiliary to BRC of A, Local #6431) She loved music and played the piano by ear.
Florence is survived by her husband of nearly 61 years, Howard W. Sloan; her daughter, Carol J. (Brian) Campbell of Fort Gratiot Twp.; two granddaughters, Tricia (Bobby) Sikand of Mississauga, Ontario and Tracy (Dan Sanborn) Campbell of Grand Rapids; three great-grandchildren, Alexis Campbell and Jasmine and Deven Sikand; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings.
The funeral service will be on Monday at 10:30 a.m. The Rev. Robert Trask will officiate. Burial will follow in Lakeside Cemetery.
