Born in Hillsboro, Illinois, as a young girl she moved with her family to Kingman, Arizona. She lived there until her marriage to Gilford C. Bisjak in 1939. She served as postmaster of the Chino Valley post office from the mid-1960s until her retirement in 1983.
Survivors include her son, Gil (Jack) Bisjak Jr.; daughter Barbara Bisjak; daughter-in-law Ramah Fitzgerald; two grandchildren, Ian Herron and Jacqueline French; and three great-grandchildren.
