BROADWAY - Mrs. Delphia Lacenia Bowling, 71, of Broadway, died Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2004, at Betsy Johnson Regional Hospital in Dunn. She was the daughter of the late Wayon Bright Carter and Mary Elizabeth Adams Carter.
The funeral was conducted at 2 p.m. the following Sunday at the Harnett Devotional Gardens Mausoleum chapel in Dunn by the Rev. Everette Faircloth. Entombment followed in Harnett Devotional Gardens Mausoleum.
Mrs. Bowling is survived by two sons, George (Craig) Bowling of Coats and Edward (Thomas) Bowling of Broadway; two sisters, Bessie (Ophelia) Chapman of Conyers, Ga., and Dixie (Mary Delores) Gainey of Mamers; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Delphia was predeceased by her husband George Thomas Bowling Jr in 2002 and a brother Cyrus Bowman Carter in 1985
