William Walter "W W" Lasley was born on June 8, 1874 in Tennessee, and he was the son of William Henry Lasley (1844–1903) and his 2nd wife Julia Ann Albertine (Tucker) Lasley (1852–1905).
He was married about 1900 to Carrie May Jackson (1880-1940), the daughter of J W Jackson and Laura (Williams) Jackson.
Retired from his own transfer company and living at 1507 Holly Street, Nashville, he was 74 years old and a widower when he died on February 12, 1949 within 5 minutes after arriving at Nashville General Hospital, the cause of his death undetermined. Burial was two days later in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Nashville.
