He was preceded in death by his parents, Chipley Rufus and Sallie Cartwright, daughter Charlene, 4 sisters and 1 brother. Survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Helen Marie Cartwright, children Rosalynda Blackburn, Kenneth (Sharon) Cartwright, Randall Cartwright, Melaine (John) Velaski, 14 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, 1 brother Marion Cartwright of Maryland, and 1 sister Maenell Hunt of Pensacola. Mr. Cartwright retired from the US Navy following 22 years of service. The visitation will be Saturday, June 27, 2015 from 10 am until the 11 am funeral service at Pensacola Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Pensacola Memorial Gardens. The family has entrusted Pensacola Memorial Gardens with all arrangements.
