Dorothy Mae Gerald, age 80, of Williamsburg, Kentucky passed away Monday, June 22, 2015 at her home. She was born June 4, 1935 in Chesterfield, South Carolina to the late Lawrence Gainey and Carrie Lewis Gainey. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Faulton J. Gerald; a son, Burnis J. Gerald; one sister, Ellen Gainey and four brothers, Tom, James, June and LA Gainey. She attended the Siler's Chapel Church of God.
She is survived by her children, Carrie Carpenter and husband Lee Jr. of Williamsburg, Kentucky, Louise Bramlette and husband Ernest of Darlington, South Carolina, and Donald Gene Gainey and wife Mary of Society Hill, South Carolina; six grandchildren, Jacob Carpenter, Jillian Carpenter, JR Barr and wife Bekki, Jessica Barr, Patricia Ball and husband Bob, and Donald Gene Gainey Jr.; several great grandchildren; one sister, Maggie Gainey and husband Harvey of Hartville, South Carolina; one brother, Hollis Gainey and wife Linda of Patrick, South Carolina; many nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, June 25, 2015 at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Harold Curnutt officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Mulberry Cemetery.
