Emma Frances Penick Bean, 93, of Campbellsville died at 5 a.m. on Monday, March 16, 2009, in Campbellsville.
Daughter of the late Everett Andrew Penick and Dorothy Mae Elmore Penick, she was born on March 23, 1915, in Green County, Ky. She was a member of Beulah Presbyterian Church in Louisville, Ky. She was a former employee of Brown & Williamson Tobacco Company and The Curtis Wright Corporation.
She was married to William Bean, who preceded her in death.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Myrna and Marvin Martin of Campbellsville; three grandchildren and their spouses, Tina and Phillip Speller of Apollo, Fla., and Bill Wilson and Lisa and Ricky Janes, all of Campbellsville; six great-grandchildren, Chase Speller and Fallon Ascherman and her husband, Justin, all of Florida, and Corey Wilson and his wife, Cassandra, Logan Wilson, Whitney Spurling and Wade Burton, all of Campbellsville; two great-great-grandchildren, Braden Cole Ascherman and Stephen Dalton Ascherman, both of Florida; and a brother and a sister, Bob Penick of Louisville and Eliza Perkins and her husband, Jack, of Greensburg, Ky.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers, Lida Antle, Virgil Penick and Richard Penick.
Funeral was Thursday, March 19 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. Drs. James E. Jones and Skip Alexander officiated. Burial was in Shiloh Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Wade Burton, Chase Speller, Phillip Speller, Kenny Waters, Bill Wilson and Logan Wilson.
Honorary pallbearers were Bryan Crump, Gary Gilpin, Ben Janes, Jonathan Janes, David Joe Perkins, Jack Allen Perkins, Jim Smith and Randy Sullivan.
