NEW PARIS — Devon Jay Slabaugh, 53, 21791 C.R. 52, died at 9:32 p.m. Monday at South Bend Memorial Hospital from injuries received in a buggy/truck accident on U.S. 6 east of Nappanee June 11.
He married Kathryn June Schmucker April 14, 1983, in Nappanee. She survives with six children, Galen Slabaugh, Albion, Elsie (Ferlyn) Frey, Goshen, Julia (Steve) Borkholder, Milford, Retha (Michael) Miller, Bremen, Colleen Slabaugh and Karl Slabaugh (special friend, Laura Bontrager), both at home; and his mother, Rosa Slabaugh, Bremen.
Family and friends may call after 2 p.m. Thursday and all day Friday at the family residence, where funeral services will begin at 9:30 a.m. Saturday.
Burial will be in West Union Center Cemetery.
