Clayton and Melvina had at least four children:
Melvin F (born c 1910), Howard L (died c 10 May 1961), Jack (died c 29 Nov 1972), and Floyd Clayton Barris (15 Mar 1897 Buffalo NY--20 July 1973 Conneaut OH). He is buried in East Conneaut Cemetery with his wife, Emma McVeen (21 July 1899 Cleveland--19 Mar 1999, dau of Edward Hudson McVeen and Emma Poley). Floyd and Emma's son, Floyd Junior, was born in Cleveland on 29 May 1932 and died in Conneaut on 12 May 2002. He is buried with his wife, Barbara Jean Palo, in Greenlawn Cemetery in Kingsville OH. Floyd Jr and Barbara's son, Timothy Floyd Barris, is buried in Edgewood Cemetery in Ashtabula OH.
