Melvin Fain Ferguson, resident of Brownsboro, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on June 19, 2015, at the age of 78 years old.

He was born on December 6, 1936 in Maydele, Texas to Olan and Dorothy Ferguson. Melvin graduated from Maydele High School in 1954.

He is survived by his wife Glendora Ferguson of Brownsboro; six daughters, Jan Speer and her husband David, of Athens; Vickie LeMaster of Heath; Amanda Ellis and her husband Bill, of Chandler; Debbie Wright and her husband Howard, of Chandler; Brenda Hill and her husband Ronnie of White Oak; Ronda Whitlock and her husband Clyde, of Winona; and one son Richard Wilson, of Brownsboro; he had 24 grandchildren and over 30 great-grandchildren. Melvin is also survived by his brother Curtis Ferguson and his wife Ginny, of Grapeland, and his sister, Melba Stewart and her husband Donald, of Maydele, along with several brothers and sisters-in-law, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Olan and Dorothy Ferguson, and sons, Mitchell Ferguson and Marshall Wilson.
