Age 72 of East Kingston, NH - Son of the late Lester and Anna (Brown) Gates.
He was raised in Lynnfeld, Mass., was a graduate of Lynnfield High School and lived for most of his life in Wakefield, Mass., before moving to East Kingston 25 years ago.
He owned and operated Gates Heating Company for many years.
Family members include his wife of 47 years, Patricia M. (MacDonald) Gates of East Kingston; his sister, Ruthann Gates of Oregon; and several nephews and nieces.
He was predeceased by his twin brother, Donald Gates, and his brother, Kenneth Gates.
