Grygla - Glenn Anderson, 47, died at his home in Grygla on Saturday, January 8, 2000.
Funeral se rvices will be held at 11 a.m. today (Wednesday, January 12) at Grace Lutheran Church in Grygla. Bernice Jelle will be the organist. Casketbearers will be Larry Askeland, Orvis Byklum, Dennis Byklum, Dennis Sundberg, Bill Zavoral and Scott Torgerson. Burial will be in Our Saviors Lutheran Cemetery in Hamre township of Beltrami county.
Visitation will be held for one hour prior to services at the church.
Glenn Manley Anderson was born on his father's 40th birthday on March 7, 1952 in Thief River Falls, the son of Manley Clarence and Thea Olivia (Lillevold) Anderson. He was baptized and confirmed at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in rural Grygla and attended school in Grygla and Goodridge, graduating from Goodridge High School in 1970. He attended Thief River Falls Area Vocational School for two years. Glenn was employed in various places including Minneapolis, Roseau and Thief River Falls.
He helped on the family farm for years and enjoyed truck driving until the time of his death. Glenn enjoyed reading, hunting, fishing and snowmobiling and especially enjoyed visiting with family and friends.
Survivors include his mother; five sisters, Janice Anderson of Bloomington, Mary (Al) Wichser of Los Angeles, CA, Elaine Barclay of Young America, Glenda (Gary) Gobelman of Reno, NV and Kari (John) Benjamin of Minneapolis; one brother, Roger (Marion) Anderson of Minneapolis; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Manley, and several aunts and uncles.
