Manley C. Anderson, 78, Grygla, died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 1991, in Northwest Medical Center, Thief River Falls.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Grace Lutheran Church, Grygla. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Friday in Green Funeral Home, Thief River Falls, and one hour before services in the church.
Manley Clarence Anderson was born March 7, 1912, in Jelle, in Hamre Township, Beltrami County, Minn., the son of Jacob and Julia Anderson. He attended Crookston schools and was a farm laborer before he married Thea Lillevold June 22, 1941, in Beltrami County, Minn. He farmed near Grygla, was a postal carrier and worked at Land O'Lakes turkey processing plant and for Arctie Enterprises, both in Thief River Falls. He had served on the Hamre Township Board since he was 17 years old.
Survivors are his wife, sons, Roger, Edina, Minn., and Glenn, Minneapolis; daughters, Janice Anderson, Bloomington, Minn., Mary (Mrs. Al) Wichser, Los Angeles, Elaine Barclay, Norwood, Minn., Glenda (Mrs. Gary) Gobelman, Sparks, Nev. and Karl (Mrs. John) Benjamin, Minneapolis; six grandchildren; brothers, Clifford, Grygla, Herbert, North Carolina, and Raymond, Urbana, Ill.; and sisters, Nina Magnuson, Port Huron, Mich., and Alice (Mrs. Harry) Johaneson, Grygla.
He was preceded in death by sisters, Ella Anderson, Lillian Sundberg and Clara Englund; and brothers, Arthur and Sydney.
