James Henry and Mary Rhoads were married in Logan County, Ky.September 20,1871,they had a daughter born to them in 1874,Annie L. Procter.After the death of Mary James Henry left Annie in Kentucky to be raised by her maternal grandparents,Jacob and Elizabeth Linton Rhoads.
By 1879 James Henry was in Johnson County, Texas where he and Mary Emma Thorp were united im marriage March 5,1879,after their marriage they made homes in both Scurry County Texas and Wise County, Texas,making a living farming and owning a cotton gin.
Surviving James Henry was his wife,Mary Emma,five daughters:Mattie Procter Hailey,Mary Belle Procter Lewis,Addie Procter Stout,Ona Procter Bratshi and Annie.L.Procter McCarley,four sons:William,Ogle Ellis,Clinton J. and Benjamin R.Procter,and was preceded in death by his parents and one son Johnnie P. Procter.
