Edwin R. 'Ed' Lambright, Sr.

SANTA FE - Mr. Edwin R. "Ed" Lambright, Sr. passed from this life Sunday evening, February 2, 2003, at his home.

Born October 29,1929, in Marquez, Mr. Lambright had been a resident of Santa Fe since 1954. He had been employed as a welder with Amoco Oil Co. for 3,7 years and served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Mr. Lambright was a member of Arcadia Christian Church, Mainland Elks Lodge No. 2141 BPOE in La Marque, O.C.A.W. Union Local No. 2201 and he enjoyed bowling.

He was preceded in death by son, Edwin R. Lambright, Jr; parents, Richard and Mabel Home Lambright; and a sister.

Survivors include his wife of over 48 years, Vonciel Lambright of Santa Fe and sister, Faye Nace of Willis.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 5, 2003, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Medlin officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 - 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, 10412 Highway 6, (409) 925-3501.
