She was the daughter of Richard Shipp and Mary Copeland. She married Burgess Waggener on May 11, 1819, Green Co., KY. She later resided in Shelby Co., Nineveh, Johnson Co. and Monroe Co., IN.

The Shipps lived in Green Co., Taylor Co. and Hardin Co. in Central Kentucky. They did not live in Marshall Co. which is in the far western area of Kentucky.

Monroe County History Center's Church Records Index (1818-1900), a database of church records, indicates Nancy was a member of the First United Church of Bloomington and their records say she died 9/1868.

Alternate death date: Sept. 26, 1866 per some researchers.

Reported Problem: Cemetery office has no record of this person
Details: There is only one recorded Waggoner/Waggener burial in all of Rosehill. I found the marker for Burgess Waggener but could find no other marker for that name.

It is unknown how far back the cemetery office records go. If Nancy is buried here, her grave is unmarked and unrecorded. However, family genealogists say she is buried here. That said, her husband is buried here.
