Benjamin T. Adams, 73, of 526 West Mason street, driver of an ice truck for C.I.P.S. Co. for 30 years, died at 12:05 p.m. yesterday at St. John's hospital.
Born in Kentucky, Mr. Adams had resided in Springfield since he was 5 years old. He was a member of the West Side Christian church. Surviving are his wife. Dorn; two daughters, Mrs. Hazel Baker and Mrs. Francea Ormsby, both of city; two brothers, Louis of Montana and Henry of New Jersey. He leaves also five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The body was taken to the Ellinger & Kunz funeral home. announcement of service will be made later.
Adams___ Remains of Benjamin T. Adams, 526 West Mason street, are at Ellinger & Kunz funeral home, service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday. Rev. H. M. Hildebrandt officiating. Burial in Oak Ridge. Remains viewed 6 to 10 p. m. Saturday, 2 to 10 p. m. Sunday and 10 a. m. till time of services monday.
