New tombstone for William Wickoff, Revolutionary War soldier, whose account of service can be found in Pension File S11858 at the National Archives. William was a son of Peter and Jane Cornell Wyckoff and brother Revolutionary War patriots, Joseph and Cornelius. William married on 17 Jan 1786 Isabella Cowenhoven. They moved from Muncy, Penna. to Hopewell in Ontario County, New York about 1792. Their children were: James b. 1788, Peter b. 1790, Thomas b. 1792, Sarah b. 1794, Samuel b. 1798, Jane b. 1799, Lucetta b. 1802, Laura b. 1804, and Mary b. 1807.
