FRANK A. BEDNAR, SR.
SYRACUSE--Frank A. Bednar St., 69, Rt. 2, Syracuse, died at 1:30 P.M. Saturday in his home of a heart attack following an illness of several years.
He was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, May 24, 1905, to Frank and Anntone (Kuntney), Bednar. He lived in the Syracuse community since 1962, coming from Valparaiso. On July 14, 1960, he married Eleanor Liston Miller. He was a retired auto mechanic. He was a member of the Moose Lodge, Valparaiso.
Survivors include his widow; his mother, Anntone Bednar, Vinton, Iowa; two sons, Frank Bednar Jr., Kingsford Heights, and Clarence Bednar, Lombard, Ill.; three daughters, Mrs. Donna Peterson, Chesterton, Mrs. Dallas Esther Baugher, Cromwell, and Miss Doris Bednar, Goshen, N.Y.; one stepson, Richard Miller, Shelbyville, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers, Wilbur and Richard, both of Cedar Rapids; three sisters, Mrs. Orville Dye, Mrs. Eleanor Chrysler and Mrs. Gale Showalter, all of Cedar Rapids.
Friends may call at the Harris Funeral Home, Syracuse, 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. today. The service will be 11 A.M. Tuesday in the funeral home with Father Charles Kunkle, of Wawasee Prep, officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso. There will be a graveside service at 1 P.M. C.S.T. with Rev. John Schultz.
