Loyal was the son of Lewis and Rose Blow Bluto.

On February 16, 1939, he married Gladys Ruth Sorrell in Grand Isle.

He was predeceased by his wife, Gladys, on November 2, 2000.

"GRAND ISLE-Loyal P. Bluto, 84, of Allen Road, died unexpectedly Thursday, July 5, 2001, at his home in Grand Isle.

Mr. Bluto was born August 22, 1916, the son of Lewis and Rose Blow Bluto. On February 16, 1939, he married Gladys Ruth Sorrell in Grand Isle. A carpenter by trade, during the Korean Conflict he worked at Shelburne Shipyards helping to build Landing Crafts used during the war. Following this, Loyal and his brothers worked for many years, building several houses in the Indian Acres area of Essex Junction.

A lifelong resident of Grand Isle, Loyal was very knowledgeable about Island history and was very interested in Grand Isle history in particular. He served the Town of Grand Isle as a Lister for several years. Mr. Bluto is survived [names of survivors omitted]. He was predeceased by his wife, Gladys, on November 2, 2000. . .”
