Ward F. Billick, 87, 707 N. Winnebago St., died at 4 a.m. Monday, Dec. 9, 1963, after a lengthy illness.

Born Jan. 12, 1876, in Tama, Iowa, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Billick. Lived 50 years in Rockford, coming here from Manning, Iowa. Employed by Blue Star Potato Chip Co. for 12 year, retiring 10 years ago. He was a police officer in Manning, Iowa, for many years. Member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church.

Survivors include: two daughters, Mrs. Steve Mengee, Rockford, and Mrs. Oscar Wennerstrom, Denver, Colo.; three grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Services at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, 1963, in Long-Klontz Funeral Home. Burial in Willwood Burial Park.
