He was the son of Marion Walker and Elizabeth Sipes Walker.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Vivian Lyon Walker, one son George Walker Jr. and two grandsons. He is also survived by three sisters, Mrs. Lynn (Mildred) Sipes, and Mrs. Dorothy Dziurgalski of Garrett, and Mrs. Fred (Norma Jean) Corporan of St. Louis, Missouri; four brothers, Ben Rod, Robert E., and Albert L. of Garrett, and Hollis of Valley Station.
Funeral services were held January 12th at 2 p.m. at Beth Haven Baptist Church. Interment in Memorial Gardens, directed by Hardy Funeral Home.
