Graveside services for Lawrence H. Holland, 83, formerly of the Kansas City area, will be at 11 am Tuesday at the Maple Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 7-0 pm today at the Simmons Funeral Home. The family suggests memorials to the American heart Association.
Mr. Holland died Saturday at a nursing home in Paola where he made his home. He was born in Kansas City, Kansas and lived in this area 73 years before moving to Paola 10 years ago. He worked for the Kansas City structural Steel Co., 44 years before retiring as a foreman in 1962. Mr. Holland was a member of the Ruby Avenue Baptist Church. Surviving are a son of Paola; a daughter of Louisburg, Kansas and 5 grandchildren.
