Geraline Woody, 78, long time resident of the Valley Grove area, passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2015. Born January 20, 1937 in Cullman, Alabama, daughter of the late Bertis and Ruby Abbott. She was a member of Valley Grove Church of Christ.
Survived by her husband of 58 years, Billy J. Woody and her son, Jerry Wayne Woody and wife Penny of Fayetteville, TN; a sister Athalea Howlette (Norman); and her brother Jim Abbott (Shirlene).
Preceded in death by first son, Michael Woody; her sister, Emalea Howlett; Mother-in-law Noler Woody and Father-in-law Henry Woody.
Funeral Service will be Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at Moss Service Funeral Home at 10:00 AM. With burial to follow at Valley Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5:00 pm. Until 8:00 pm at Moss Service Funeral Home.
