Mrs. Maurine Pipes, 68 years old, of 1509 Avenue Plaza, Louisville, Kentucky died Friday, February 13, 1981 at University Hospital Louisville. She was born in Meade County, Kentucky on November 6, 1912 the daughter of the late Joseph Marion Harrington and Mary Renolds.

She is survived by four children, Mrs. Emma Jane Kellems of Des Moines, Iowa; Mrs. Mary L. Herr of Brandenburg, Kentucky; Mrs. Virginia Lee Weedman of Louisville, Kentucky and Mr. Robert John Pipes of Cleveland, Ohio; one sister, Mrs. Myrtle Miller of Phoenix, Arizona; 16 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on February 16th from the Chapel of Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Marcum officiating. Interment was in the Bethel Methodist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were; Clifford Herr, Keith Fields, Houston Kellems, Houston Kellems Jr., Steve Weedman and John Harrington.
