Clair D. Schisler, 41, Dies At Home
Clair D. Schisler, 41, lifetime Astoria resident, died suddenly Saturday morning at his home near Astoria. He had been under the care of a physician and his death was attributed to a heart ailment.

Mr. Schisler was born Dec. 26, 1925 in Astoria Township, a son of Evert and Opal Curless Schisler. On June 23, 1951, he was married to Helen McMullen, who survives.

Other survivors include four children: James DeVeer, Thomas Edward, Christy Sue and Lori Jean, all at home; his parents, of Astoria; one brother, Phillip Schisler of Astoria, one sister, Mrs. Susie Bucher of Macomb; and maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Curless of Astoria. He was preceded in death by one sister.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2 p.m. at the Summum Christian church with the Rev. Danny Phillips officiating. Burial was in the Astoria Cemetery.
