From Hazleton PA Newspaper, Feb. 25, 1936:
Mrs. Jane Ann Williams, aged 88 years and 6 months, a pioneer resident of this community, died at the home of her son, Morgan Williams, in Lattimer Mines, at 7:15 last night from complications. Mrs. Williams was born at Welsh Hill, Danville, moving to Harleigh 56 years ago, where she lived for six years before moving to Lattimer, where she spent her entire life. The deceased was a member of the Lattimer M.E. church.
Her husband, Samuel D. Williams, preceded her in death 40 years ago. Surviving are the following daughters and sons: Mrs. Peter Zillig, West Hazleton; Samuel D. Williams, Lattimer Mines; Mrs. Margaret Jacquot, Tamaqua; Mrs. William H. Arey, Hazleton; Thomas Williams, Chicago; and Morgan Williams, of Lattimer Mines. Thirty-seven grandchildren and forty-three great grandchildren also survive.
The funeral will be held on Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with services at the home of her son, Morgan Williams in Lattimer Mines. Rev. John W. Weise, pastor of the Lattimer M.E. church, will be in charge of the services. Interment will be made in the Vine street cemetery.
